Saturday  Specials are only 2 days a month.. They are meant to accommodate those who can’t make it on the weekdays and yet give them a sample of different dances. These classes work really well for people wanting to experience a new dance, try something out of their usual style, expand their knowledge. Something different each month!

January 14 and 28:  Foxxy
February 11 and 25:  Rumba
March 11 and 25:  Cha Cha

All dances are open to the public for couples and singles.

January:  Get ready for those romantic occasions! Learn the Foxxy!
This dance is especially helpful when dancing in a crowded floor.   Tight spaces, no problem, learn how to  sway and move to the music and even throw in a few flashy moves. Good to understanding balance, timing, and patience! Great for Newcomers to start feeling confident right away. Followers learn balance and grace. Let’s get started and dance!

February: Try out the Latin dance the Rumba!
This romantic dance shows it’s flare through using ‘Latin motion’.  Woman love this dance to be able to feel the power of music through hip movement and smoothness.  Come on guys you’ll be glad you understand this dance. Bring a partner or friend. See what you can do!

March:  Not to be out done, the  Latin Cha Cha is flashy!
Give this one a try and you’ll amaze the on lookers not to mention yourself.  This dance is different than the country cowboy version.  The music is sharp, sassy and moving.  It’s hard to sit still once you know what the Cha Cha feels like.  Give it a try!

Explanation of dance level ability:
Newcomer :  No experience needed.  A newcomer is a dancer with no previous dance instruction. You will concentrate on learning the basic patterns and lead/follow.  When more information is given do the best you can but during our practice time you should keep reviewing the basic pattern in order to become more confident with it. You will learn basic patterns with emphasis placed on Lead/Follow and timing for the particular dance covered. This is a great time for practice!

Beginner1/2:  Some experience expected.  A beginner dancer that has had some previous training and has knowledge of Lead/Follow, connection, timing and footwork.  When the class moves along you should be able to understand the concepts presented. You will want to work on more  pattern variations, developing a stronger understanding of connection, rhythm and partnering and technique.  You should be practicing flow and continuity of your dancing.  Learning multiple styles of dance will elevate your dancing more quickly.

Beginner/Intermediate: This dancer should have had the basics of the dance taught. Have had experience in leading/following different patterns. You will learn new patterns and how to perfect your techniques and continuity in the dance.

Group classes are open to both singles and couples. I lead and follow as needed.
