Your Instructor - Miss Deb
As a dancer for over 25 years, Deb Endres received most
of her training through Arthur Murray Dance Studio: competing professionally
with Arthur Murray Dance Studio and In The Mood Dance Studio of Minneapolis.
Her performances also included exhibitions for local TV programs, dance
venues and malls, and promotions for Pickwick Records. Deb managed her
own community dance center in Northfield, MN.
Arriving in Colorado in 2003, Deb
wasted no time integrating into the local arts community. She has
performed on-stage at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, and has performed
and choreographed numbers in Loveland at both the Rialto Theater and city
museum. She has been teaching in the area now for several years,
including instructing the ballroom dance classes for Aims Community College
at both the Loveland and Greeley campuses.
Her training included learning both lead and follow
techniques which allows her an unusual and advantageous perspective in
teaching couples dances. She teaches both group and private lessons.
A dancer needs to understand rhythm as much as
patterns, so in Deb's classes the students develop their muscle ability
through fun exercises and conditioning that enhance the dancing experience –
all while dancing to music throughout the lesson.
Deb's philosophy is simply this: Dance
is movement to music, couples dance is moving rhythmically
together to music, and social couples dance is managing that
movement, in conjunction with the music, to create a beautiful silhouette on
the dance floor.
"Dance is a wonderful part of my life and my desire
is to make it a healthy and wonderful part of your life too. I hope you
join me."
